In the summer of 1994 the Polish director Krzysztof Kieslowski (1941-1996) gave a workshop in Amsterdam on ‘Directing actors’ for young directors. For a fortnight various groups worked every day on a scene from Ingmar Bergman’s Scenes from a marriage. It was Kieslowski’s last try at teaching. A documentary about the inspiring way Kieslowski worked with his actors.
